Our mission is to educate people for the global Telecommunications and Networking industry, to provide curricular leadership for the evolving discipline, to provide useful novel research for the field, and to serve the profession. The program is one of the oldest and most prestigious Telecommunications and Networking programs in the nation.  Our academic offerings include the Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy degrees, as well as a Certificate of Advanced Study. As we progress through the 20th year of the program we are proud of the innovative curriculum, distinguished alumni and our groundbreaking research. Working with industry, we have an established track record of sponsored research and technology transfer, as well as innovative partnerships to provide students with real world experience during their studies. Research Highlights

Tele faculty Krishnamurthy and Tipper are researching how to construct robust and secure mobile ad hoc networks as part of a project entitled "ARSENAL: A cross layer ARchitecture for SEcure resilieNt  tacticAL mobile ad hoc networks". This project is being funded by the Army Research Office’s Multi-University Research Initiative. ARSENAL is a joint effort of 12 professors at 7 institutions: UC Davis, UC Santa Cruz, UC Riverside, BYU, University of Utah, University of Pittsburgh and Penn State. The Army Research Office funded this innovative project for a five year period at $6.25 million. more>
